Come stay in boutique hotel style in Mid Century Modern inspired accommodations. Private key code entry makes check in easy. The Wichita Mod Lodge, owned by Oklahoma artist, Marilyn Artus, is just minutes from the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge. If you love hiking there are many places to discover. Just behind the lodge are the Lawtonka trails. No need to even get in your car to go on a beautiful hike. There are lakes near by and the charming cobblestone community of Medicine Park.

If you love Contemporary and Mid Century Modern design The Wichita Mod Lodge is the place for you. This 1959 building that was once a pawn shop has been lovingly remodeled. It is filled with original art and loaded with antique and new carefully selected furnishings. The large mixed media flag artwork is made by owner, and nationally known artist, Marilyn Artus. The room includes a king size bed handmade by historic Oklahoma Mattress Company in downtown Oklahoma City.

The full private bathroom has custom retro inspired double sinks and is stocked with soft fluffy white towels and all the toiletries. You will love the 'cassette' tiles in the huge walk in luxury doorless shower. We also provide a Keurig coffee maker, coffee, cream, sugar, cups, utensils, plates and bowls in the kitchenette. A microwave and mini fridge are also at your disposal. Ironing board and iron are in your closet to hang clothes. Free 5G wifi. There is a love seat for sitting plus a table and 2 chairs for eating or working.

An outdoor wrap around porch is yours for sitting or using the hanging chairs to relax. There is a fire pit in the back for your use to toast up s'mores or just enjoy looking at the evening stars.

My husband and I mostly live in Oklahoma City. We came to Medicine Park 20 + years ago and fell in love with the mountains and the tiny town. I spent so much of my life on my grandparents ranch in rural south Texas. I have always wanted a country getaway that would remind me of them and the special family times together. Through their legacy, we had the opportunity to purchase the Wichita Mod Lodge. We stripped it down to the frame and created a place of our own. We love being here, but we also wanted to create a place for others to come relax, take care of themselves and enjoy this beautiful part of Oklahoma.

Known as America's cobblestone community for the round red rocks dotting this tiny picturesque town, Medicine Park, Oklahoma has a fascinating history. The Plains Indians were well acquainted with this quiet oasis long before its time as a colorful resort town attracting celebrities, gangsters, politicians and journalists. The cobblestones – an abundant, native geological phenomenon of the area – are found in most structures and imbue the town with its distinctive look. Take a lazy stroll on scenic trails by Medicine Creek or Bath Lake, dine in fine restaurants, or bask in the glow of the sun setting over the surrounding Wichita Mountains. Shops with all manner of arts, crafts and gifts offer plenty of browsing pleasure.
