Secluded at the end of a private drive on the quiet end of the Lake of the Ozarks, our lake home offers plentiful recreation, relaxation, and fishing opportunities.

The house is on the water at the 67MM of the lake and features 300 feet of private shoreline. A deck that overhangs the water is just a few steps from the patio equipped with a propane/charcoal grill and smoker and outdoor cooking area.

Two kayaks are included to explore the shoreline and its wildlife. An inviting hot tub beckons.

The house itself has a modern kitchen with all the essentials for your getaway at the lake, including place settings for eight. The open layout and spacious living room offer near floor to ceiling lake views stretching 2.5 miles up the lake.

The master bedroom features a king size bed and en-suite bath. The other bedroom has two double beds with the main bath of the house just steps outside the bedroom door. The house is a mix of new and heirloom. Interior doors were salvaged from our family's homestead and one bedroom features furnishings from the 1800s.

The washer and dryer are conveniently located between the bedrooms. A cleaning closet is stocked with supplies for housekeeping.

The house is smoke-free, but smoking is allowed outdoors. Just through the back door is the gas grill, charcoal grill, smoker and mini-refrigerator. The hot tub, comfortable patio furniture and fantastic views create an inviting outdoor living space. On the shoreline is a fire ring to enjoy s'mores under the starry sky.

Located on a point, Rippling Point offers a variety of fishing opportunities, with 30 feet of water depth off the channel side and shallows in the cove. Fishing can be done right from the bank, dock or deck. Crappie, catfish, bass, and panfish all enjoy healthy fish populations.

During the season, starting in mid-March through the end of April, world-class paddlefishing can be had in the deep waters of the channel. All year, you can witness these prehistoric fish jumping.

Wildlife is abundant on the property. It is not unusual to see deer, beavers and foxes. Eagles nest in the cove and are often seen catching fish in front of the house.

If trailering a boat, there is a public boat ramp located 5 miles down the lake at Brown Bend access. You may park your boat in our dock.

The boat in the pictures is NOT included in the rental.

The scenic nature of the area means cell coverage can be spotty, but you should find AT&T service in the house.

A selection of games, cards, and a set of cornhole boards and bags are for your use during your stay.

Dish Network is available in the living room. The two bedrooms are wired for over-the-air TV only.

Entry to the house will be by key-code given before your scheduled check-in time.

The best thing about Rippling Point is its seclusion. The “neighborhood” is the lake, the tree-covered hills, and the clear sky, unmarried by light pollution. It is advised to do your shopping on the way in, either in Warsaw or Climax Springs. Convenience items, however, can be purchased at Holiday Hills Marina, just a mile away by water and about two by land.

Home is a critter-filled farm near Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks. Boer goats graze the rolling pastures; Rudy, the llama stands guard; ducks patrol the yard; cats do whatever they please; and Border collie, Ellie and Australian Shepherd, Riley keep them all under control.

I married my high school sweetheart five decades ago. Richard has been my strength, my inspiration, my comfort, the voice of reason through the years and is still my sweetheart.
