This modern Cape Cod house is on a beautiful rural street with Horse Farm’s and farmland. You can enjoy all the adventures and sites that the Wilmington area has to offer. At the front of the house there is a private living room with a TV, DVD for your enjoyment. The 2 bedrooms & private bath are just up the stairs. We live at the back of the house so we will respect your privacy but if you need us we are happy to assist. This is a non-smoking AirBnb, which means no smoking inside or outside.

We love living on Marathon Ave. Our neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We have the best neighbors! We are not in the hustle and bustle of the city but we are close enough to enjoy everything it has to offer and more. We have the Cape Fear River 4 minutes from us. We have enjoyed jet skiing in the best part of the river with easy ramp access! We think our beaches are beautiful! We have enjoyed Kayaking in the sound at Wrightsville Beach many times. There are many places to paddle board and kayak in the area. My husband swims for tri practice in the sound at Wrightsville all summer long. He bikes or runs in our neighborhood regularly. We are conveniently located near grocery stores, pharmacies and fast food restaurants, while still enjoying horse farms and open spaces.

We are Doug and Edie Hines and we have been married for 36 yrs. Doug was born and raised in Wilmington and I have lived here most of my life. We enjoy traveling and having new adventures. We love having the opportunity to share our home with friends and family. We are now empty nesters with 15 grandchildren that we love to spend time with. We decided to share our home with others so that they can visit our beautiful coastal region and fall in love with it as much as we have.

We love going out to eat; so we can suggest some great restaurants to enjoy seafood and other delicacies. My husband Doug is a triathlete, so if you are here for any Triathlons, Marathons or 5ks we will be happy to give you special assistance. Just give us a heads up before you book so that we can work out the arrangements if transportation will be your need.
