There is plenty of enjoyment for everyone to find at this private Big Bay Lakefront home. Wake up to a delightful sunrise which can be seen from the floor to ceiling windows, or sleep in and enjoy the relaxing sound of the birds chirping and waves crashing on the shore. The house is only one mile from Big Bay Town Park-which boasts one of the best beaches in northern Wisconsin, a short drive to Big Bay State Park with hiking through dramatic views of Lake Superior, and located 7 miles from town.

At the end of a long day we want to offer you a great nights sleep. The house is a cherished multi-generational treasure. You will have full access to the home and comfortable bedding accommodations for up to 10 guests. The living room has a full length couch and a recliner for added necessity. Bedding and towels will be provided for you as well as a full kitchen and dishwasher. If you plan on preparing the majority of your meals, we absolutely recommend you get your groceries prior to riding the ferry as last minute items can become pricier or even unavailable. There are 4 bedrooms, one bathroom, full kitchen, dining room with board games and piano, living room with a TV, free use of washer / dryer, an outdoor grill and WIFI.

For over 80 years Madeline Island has been the focal point of our families togetherness. It is the place we all meet, one way or another, and catch up from busy years that seem to pass on so swiftly. Time slows the moment you reach the ferry landing and once again you are transported back to a relaxed state of mind. We get to share in each others hopes and dreams and remember how to enjoy life. As children from the hot midwest, retreats to the cabin with our parents and grandparents was the greatest part of summer. Long hot days spent building sand castles and swimming in the icy lake would lead to a deeper understanding of the world and a restful nights sleep. If we had a rainy day, instead of feeling cooped up we would play cards with each other, tell stories, drink hot cocoa or just sit in the house and watch the waves swell. On a clear night we'd watch the stars, have a little bonfire and toast marshmallows and hot dogs while the adults sang silly folk songs and told us ghost stories. Our childhood was filled with the magic of Lake Superior and it has stuck with all of us throughout life. When our grandparents eventually became old and gray they passed on and our parents took over turning their summer home into a vacation rental property. As we are the next generation to care for this legacy, we offer our home proudly, along with all the love and memories it holds.
