The Tlao is a small room that I compare with the cabin of a ship, at its top is the sink of the small equipped kitchenette. It has a small fridge, a double bed and if necessary a hammock, a closet and a private bathroom outside on the other side of the stairs. The locations is very central, just 5 minutes walking distance from Mazunte beach, close enough to all sights but far enough to indulge the silence.
Within walking distance you have the beach, plenty of restaurants and bars, also some spots where you can have Yoga classes.
The locations is the perfect combination between the centre and an peaceful natural environment.


La Secreta is located in Mazunte, the Magical town on the coast of Oaxaca on the Pacific Ocean. It is about 20 minutes by car from Pochutla, where you can drive from Oaxaca City, and 1 hour from the surfing mecca of Puerto Escondido and Huatulco.

There are direct flights from the United States and Canada to the airports to Puerto Escondido and Huatulco, where we offer you a safe taxi driver who brings you to La Secreta. They pick you up at the exist of any airport and you walk out with them to the highway, where the car is waiting. They charge 750 pesos. As well you can take a taxi of the airpport, but they are much more expensive. As you wish.
If required the taxidriver to pick you up, ask us their numbers as soon we communicate.

If you arrive alone, to find us, you must take Rinconcito street from the main one of Mazunte, and looking towards the sea, after about 500 meters you take Armadillo streat, on the right hand side, which is between a small bar called Punta Cometa and a large pizzeria named Mayaguel.
At the beginning the street it is made of river stones and then of earth. On the right side is a restaurant, then anoher Posada Calles Luna de Miel, further another entrance to a house, all of the at the right hand, and then, under an arch of bougainvilleas, La Secreta with two entrances, both on the right side, the first one is for El Tlao and La Selva, and the door at the end of the lot, leads to La Barca de Viento, the Estudio, Nautilus and Luna.

You must ALWAYS CLOSE the entrance doors when entering and leaving. ALWAYS.

In each room there is a safe. Nothing of value should be left out. There has never been a robbery in the Secret, but anyway you have to leave in the safe all your belongings.

If an accident happens inside the house, it is the responsibility of the guest. All facilities are secure.

In Mazunte there are ATMs, but they do not always have money or they may not work, so we recommend withdrawing money at the airports, or if you are coming by road from Oaxaca, in Pochutla.

If you come by public transport, there are Vans called United Lines that are taken from Oaxaca to Pochutla. Once there, you take a private taxi that will cost you between 200 and 250 pesos, or the transports called "colectivos" that cost between 15 and 20 pesos, maybe more. Ask the driver or somebody in it, to get you off at the Riconcito street, you walk the 500 meters into the ocean 5 minutes, where you take the first street on the right, where La Secreta is.

La Secreta Caprichosa está conformada por 6 lofts, cada uno con su espacios, su cocineta y su baño privado, por lo cual se puede rentar cada habitación por separado, o bien toda la secreta en su conjunto, en la que caben hasta 18 personas.
La Secreta está a pie a unos cinco minutos de playa, así como del pueblo, restaurantes, cafeterías y tiendas de alimentos.
Contamos con Wi-Fi y dos estacionamientos; una terraza común donde se puede hacer yoga, hay hamacas, bancas y una mesa grande para trabajar.
Los precios varían de temporada alta, media y baja y tenemos descuentos para estancias más largas.
