Tea Ceremony with Rohit
You will arrive at the time of your tea-appointment and settle in. I offer comfortable seating on zabuton & zafu cushions on the floor. We will have our shoes removed in respect for the space. Depending on what teas speak to me, given the time of day and the season, I will discuss what I intend to serve. All my teas have caffeine, although getting you dosed up on caffeine is not my goal. I serve tea that is flavorful, yet mild. Some teas will grow with each steep. We will enjoy the first bowl of each tea in silence. This is done so we can focus on the tea as well as on the energy and the sensation the tea brings to our body. Most guests like to focus on their breath while the tea is being steeped. As we progress with our tea, we slowly break silence and start quiet conversations. Guests sometimes like to talk about my perspective on a given tea, or want to know more about the ceremony. I'm a student of tea, and am happy to share what I have learnt from my teachers.
God, Country, & Notre Dame Walking Tour
Want the Legend, the Lore, & the History? (If you don't see a time offered that you like, suggest one) We’ll explore the entirety of U.S. history in just about one hour. This history will be told through the history of the University of Notre Dame. In the process of this walking tour (participants must be able to walk about 1/2 of a mile during the course of this journey), you will learn a great deal of American history (or be reminded of that history) and see how Notre Dame connects to the great American story. This is a rare opportunity to travel the history of Notre Dame in a humorous way and walk through our lovely campus at the same time. Other things to note: This is an experience that is not officially affiliated with ND in any way but is in my expertise wheelhouse for certain and you'll love the way History, Humor, fact, tradition, and legends are woven together to provide this very unique experience.
UnKnown Project Public Art Experience
The (Un)Known Project Public Art Experience features artist-led talks that delve into the history of enslavement in Kentucky and the birth of the project and creation of the “On the Banks of Freedom” public art installation. To support healing, participants are invited to stand in the footprints along the edge of the platform representing enslaved people looking toward freedom in Indiana and are encouraged to carry/pull a 70lb “replicated” sack representing a 1/3 of the cotton an enslaved person had to pick in a day. As part of the session, participants are encouraged to confront their family’s history and any involvement in enslavement, and to share the names, documents, stories and archives with the project as a starting place for healing, reconciliation and redemption. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and sunscreen! Presentations take place rain or shine. Please note that we often document the Public Art Experiences through photography and videography - if you do not want to be included please let the camera person know. The documentation may be used on social media, our project's documentary, and other forms of storytelling.

Cocktail Making & Bourbon Tasting
Upon arriving, your group will have an entire whiskey tasting room & bourbon bar to yourselves! You'll sit down & enjoy the most iconic bourbon cocktail in Louisville, the Old Fashioned. While you sip, I'll demonstrate how to make Trouble Bar's classic Old Fashioned. Then, you'll get to jump behind the bar to pick your own bitters & syrup combination to create your very own signature Old Fashioned. This is a fantastic start to your bourbon country adventures, or team building if you're in town for work! After our Old Fashioned bootcamp, you'll enjoy a 3 - 5 part tasting of bourbon. You'll taste whatever we love and think your group will love, too. We serve every bourbon with a healthy dose of history, background & information, while also providing lots of water and ice. We find that so many new bourbon drinkers, or seasoned drinkers, can find new tasting notes or get more out of a bourbon that's had an ice cube or a splash of ice! Other things to note: Food: Feel free to bring snacks! We do not serve food, but you can order in or BYOF. Sober: Sober drinkers can be accommodated for cocktail making.
Paint and sip event
Each event has a specific painting selected that will be taught step-by-step. I suggest checking our calendar to see the painting for the date you are interested in attending prior to purchasing seats. After ordering your favorite food and beverage at the restaurant we host our events at, I will go through the basics on the painting I will instructing and the tools you will be using. After a fun cheers to begin the class we will dive into the background of the painting. I'll guide you step-by-step so have no fear on being left to your own devices. Each event has a specific painting but you're always welcome to embellish as you like and add your own unique flair to it. Canvas classes are done on 16x20 canvas. If that is too large for your suitcase be sure to ask for a smaller size before painting begins. After the background is done we will take a good 15 minute break for bathrooms, re-ordering, stretching your legs..etc. This is a great time to take photos of your painting in process as well as meet your fellow painters. This experience is meant to be social so feel free to chit chat during the event and have fun with it. Sip, relax, and paint with us for a healthy and fun activity you will always remember. No experience needed to have fun! These events are great for groups, team building, birthday celebrations and bachelorette parties.
Bourbon Class & Tasting
Upon arriving, you'll have an entire bourbon tasting room of Trouble Bar to yourself and the other experience guests. All guests will be in seats socially distanced from each other (please let us know if you're traveling with your household/COVID-bubble & we can seat you together). You'll taste between 4 - 6 bourbons during your tasting. Nicole will show you different styles and proof expressions of bourbon from a variety of distilleries. If you have a specific interest, Nicole can delve into with you and possibly pull some special bourbons for you to taste. While you go through the tasting, Nicole will help you understand why your palate is responding the way it is to different whiskeys. Instead of only trying products from only one distillery, Nicole will expose you to many distilleries in one spot! You'll end the class with the chance to open tabs and buy bourbons from the extensive collection of Trouble Bar. Nicole will be available for questions and more bourbon knowledge as long as you'd like to stay! Other things to note: Once the class ends, you'll be able to purchase spirits directly from the bar so you can continue your education and enjoy Trouble Bar's extensive collection. Nicole can even use what you learned about your palate to recommend new and unknown bourbons specifically for you.

Although we have a general itinerary, we can stop whenever needed for impromptu photos! I know many locations both indoors and outdoors that I can take you and your group, no matter the weather. Overall, I want you to feel like after our walk/photoshoot that you have a better idea of Louisville as a whole and have gotten a local perspective on the city. 5-7 days after our photoshoot you will receive approximately 20 edited photos and all other photos unedited.
